Through all my years, I have always cherished the friendships I had. My friends have been there for me through my darkest hours, when no family or relative would have been able to see me through the painful moments. They have stood by me, listened to me with love in their hearts and offered words of encouragement in times of utter despair.
Over the past few years, I have met some of the most amazing women and men. Brave, independent, determined, beautiful and intelligent in their own right. They have been a pillar of strength for me, a guiding angel from a dark past into a prosperous future. I have learnt valuable life lessons from each of them through the decades. They have not only walked into my life, but they have left footprints in my heart.
Friendship is a two way street. In order to be loved, you need to give love; in order to be understood, you need to understand; and in order to be supported, you need to give support and care to others. A great friendship stands the test of time, through marriage, divorce, break-ups, financial problems and children.
